Our Flagstone product comes in a patio grade size, generally smaller pieces, and oversized Flagstone, which is larger pieces. Flagstone also varies in its thickness, between 1 inch to 3 inches. Most patios and walkways with heavy traffic do best with a 2” thick Flagstone, with one ton of Flagstone covering about 80 square feet. For smaller projects or areas with limited traffic, you can use a 1” thick Flagstone, with one ton covering about 120 square feet.
Flagstone is ordered based on weight, and the amount you need depends on the thickness of the Flagstone you choose, as mentioned above. Each pallet of Flagstone holds between 3,000 and 4,000lbs of stone. Flagstone arrives stacked horizontally on a pallet, and every piece will be a different size and shape. When we pick your Flagstone, we open one pallet at a time and will simply work our way down from the top of the pallet as we get to the required weight.
