Delivery

To ensure we have safe deliveries, we require all customers to provide us with clear drop instructions and open access to each site. We do our best to ensure the product is placed where you request, however, sometimes this is not possible due to other vehicles or site conditions. Our drivers sometimes have to make best judgment calls on where a product may need to be placed.

Road bans and permits: Customers are required to report all road bans or special permits to CLS Landscape Supply before placing an order. Our trucks are not able to leave city streets without appropriate permits unless it is privately owned land

Driveways: CLS Landscape Supply’s policy is to not have any of our trucks drive on residential driveways. They are too large and can cause cracking or damage. If a customer requests a vehicle to drive on a residential driveway, CLS Landscape Supply takes no responsibility for damage caused to the driveway or property. If you have questions about this policy please do not hesitate to contact us at any of our locations.

Frequently asked questions

Q1: Can you put the product in my backyard?

This is a tricky one. We understand that a lot of projects are in the backyard, and you want your product as close to your project site as possible. For this reason, we have a large fleet of vehicles, each with different capacities and restrictions.

Our picker truck is able to drop product in a backyard, granted there is plenty of room for the truck to set up, the fence is not too high, and there are no overhead power lines or trees. It ultimately comes down to driver discretion when making this kind of delivery.

The moffett on the flat deck truck is able to enter a side or back yard as long as there is at least 10 feet of clearance. Operation of the moffett on uneven ground, or on long trips is under the discretion of the driver, and customers should understand that there may be damage to soft ground if the customer directs the driver to operate the moffett on a lawn.

Our dump trucks are not able to dump in a backyard or side yard unless there is adequate space for the vehicle to enter, and no curbs or sidewalks that need to be crossed. This usually excludes all deliveries except for acreages, rural properties, and newly built subdivisions.

Q2: How will my product be delivered?

We have several different trucks in our fleet ready to deliver products to you. Palletized products and ‘The Landscape Bag’ are delivered on either our flatbed truck which has a moffett on the back to maneuver product around, or on our picker truck which has an extendable arm used to take the product off of the truck. For bulk aggregates, your order will be delivered using a dump truck. None of these trucks will cross sidewalks or driveways.

You do not need to be home for the delivery, however we do require all customers to provide us with clear drop instructions and open access to each site. If you would like to keep your product contained and ready for when you start your project, we recommend getting your product delivered in ‘The Landscape Bag’. Otherwise, we can dump bulk aggregate on the road or in your driveway.

**Please note we do not perform street drops within Cochrane.

We do our best to ensure the product is placed where you request, however, sometimes this is not possible due to site conditions. Please note, all customers are required to report all road bans to CLS Landscape Supply before placing an order. View our delivery page for more specific information on our delivery vehicles.

Q3: Why choose The Landscape Bag?

Are you ready to put down some mulch or ground cover, but don’t want to deal with a pile of product on the road or in your driveway? Do you want to start your project on the weekend, but want to make sure that the product is already on your property and ready to use?

‘The Landscape Bag’ is perfect for keeping your product dry and contained – ready to use when you are ready for it. Each bag holds a maximum of one yard of product and can be loaded in 0.25 yard increments. If you complete your project and discover you need a little more product, you are more than welcome to bring your bag back and we will refill it for you for a nominal refilling charge (just make sure there are no holes in it!).

Please note that the bags are not refundable, so they don’t need to be returned to our yard unless you wish to refill it.
